We are not teachers. Teaching is for the documenters, tutorial writers and youtubers who dedicate their time to provide thorough explanations of a topic. Where we come in, is when things get more complex and you cannot find something online to help you. Please take the time to use google, it is the best resource out there, you will find places that explain things very clearly, much better than any of us could in a single forum post. It would also help with the constant Q&A that would result from forum discussion as you would learn everything you need at one time and would be able to go back and reference it.
We will always be glad to help people out of a bind, in fact many of us like the challenge, just please take the time to look up things that have probably already been answered by somebody else. It feels repetitive of me to have posted multiple replies on this particular topic but I think that it’s something that is essential for a new forum user to understand.

You can get Eclipse for mac too.
Information on setting up JDK, env variables etc on mac can be found easily.
