Modpack server crash during initial install with Sponge

Hello-

I am configuring a Spongepowered Enigmatica 2 server on a cloud hosted Linux instance and continuously crash on the same point, regardless of version of Sponge I am using. Here are the details:

CrashReport: crash-2020-04-18_15.30.38-server.txt · GitHub

LatestLog: crash-2020-04-18_15.30.38-server.txt · GitHub

Minecraft: 1.12.2
Modpack version: 1.77 (Yes I know Enigmatica 2 doesn’t technically support Sponge, but there exists public servers of E2 with Sponge enabled, so I am committed to get it to work)
Forge: 2847
Sponge: spongeforge-1.12.2-2838-7.1.8 (This release is a little older, however I have been getting the same result regardless.)
SpongeBootStrap: SpongeBootstrap-0.7.0.jar

Fixes attempted:

  • Foamfix
  • Adding ‘_aaa’ in front of the Sponge jar
  • Trying every “stable” Sponge version from 7.1.8 up to the most recent.
  • Launching the bootstrap jar directly - this results in an almost immediate crash. I assume I am missing required launch options.

I’m leaning more towards this being a Mixin issue given the logs and crash report but I dont know enough about this to be 100% sure.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The mod “cofhCore” is not supported with Sponge, I dont belive there is a fix, so the only way to get Sponge running would be to remove the mod (and all mods that rely on it)

I’ve ran Sponge without error on a FTB Revelation server which uses COFHCore and the child mods.

I must be thinking of another mod.

OpenComputers is another mod that has issues. Apparently there is a fix

Thanks-

That appears to have been fixed in later versions of Sponge - not sure exactly what. The mod details for the fix indicate you would need that if you werent using Sponge.
