Server refuses to start with SpongeForge

Hi. For the last 2-ish hours I’ve been trying to set up a forge server. It runs fine with nothing else added, but as soon as I add SpongeForge, the server will no longer start. Once I remove SpongeForge, it goes back to working fine.

I’m using the latest recommended version of both Forge and SpongeForge (2768), as well as the latest release of Java (J8 U211)

Log: [15:01:36] [main/INFO] [LaunchWrapper]: Loading tweak class name net.minecraftfo - Pastebin.com

That log says that it’s starting fine… what makes you say it won’t start anymore?

When I have SpongeForge in the mods folder the server is unresponsive: https://i.imgur.com/byAwRVj.png

But as soon as I remove it, it runs fine: https://i.imgur.com/iz7tCef.png

Oh lol. So sponge disables the GUI as it is unnecessary and wastes resources…

It is in fact running fine and you enter the commands via the console instead.

It was less that and more the fact that I can’t connect to the server with SpongeForge in there. The config for both was only included to show that both were running.

If you type help into the console when running spongeforge, does it load, or is server fully frozen?

Does your client display anything in particular when trying to connect to the server?

When I type help into the console it loads, and commands seem to work too.

When I try to connect to the server, it gives me a connection failure message saying ‘io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information:’. Nothing comes up in the cmd window however.

Also, if it means anything, I can only open the console through a batch file. Double clicking the .jar comes up with nothing except a Java process in task manager that stays at 0% cpu usage.

Please take the time to become familiar with the SpongeDocs. A lot of your problems are addressed there already.
