SpongeForge insta-crash on Single Player

I just started using Sponge for Voxel Sniper but I can’t get it to work at all. I don’t have any plugins or mods in the directory and my Minecraft installation is fresh. The versions of Forge and Sponge match and I’ve reinstalled Java. The strange thing is that it doesn’t even produce an error log or crash log. The MC client merely tells me the game has crashed. I’ve tried everything I can think of, including going back to previous versions of Minecraft and Sponge, as well as using the recent Forge updates with older Sponge versions. Nothing seems to work and I can’t seem to find anyone else with the same problem online.

Well, sponge doesn’t really like singleplayer sometimes if at all.

Good Answer. Very informative and helpful.

I mean, I’m just being honest. Sponge wasn’t really meant to run as a client mod.

Incorrect. Sponge was designed to work as a single player mod.

It has it’s own tracking info in it’s debug screen.

Additionally the devs have been known to do testing in single player from time to time when testing things.

That said, the amount of players using it is rather low, so it’s not quite as bullet proof.

@Sir_Wesley if you can post on the Sponge Forge issue tracker with details of the crash, I’m sure someone will get around to looking at it

@Sir_Wesley I was able to replicate the issue, You can find my issue here, I would appreciate it if you could sum up your experiences and versions tested as well

This was fixed on bleeding, but wasn’t pulled back down to stable.

DualSpires ported the fix to stable.

1.11.2-2282-6.1.0-BETA-2368 Should work.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I remember hearing that sometime and I guess I forgot about it.
