Triggers are necessary at least.
Unless you are recycling scripts like this from other people, nearly anyone able to write a script for plugins like these, could learn Java (with a little effort) and write (admittedly bad at first, but we all start somewhere) custom plugins for your server and gain valuable career skills in the process.
