In my plugins i’d like to provide support for scripting in js. I have a little experience with rhino but i want to try nashorn. Does anyone have experiences with both engines and can tell me main differences. nashorn seems to be new thing (java 8) and i was not able to find some deeper comparison.
The Rhino that comes with Java appears to be very slow (accessible via ScriptEngines).
The Rhino library you can get separately appears to be faster.
I haven’t used Nashorn yet but I imagine it beats both in speed.
