Additional IRC help request

I find this situation happening to me often.

I leave myself logged into IRC (EsperNet) to the #spongedev channel and then I go home from work.

Then I try to login to the channel and I find that I’m already logged in.

I don’t know how to handle that. What’s the procedure with various ChanServ/NickServ to logout of a remote session and reacquire a session from another machine?

Please let me know if there’s a procedure to use to handle that use-case.

Thanks

You just kick your nick using ghost.

e.g. /nickserv ghost PeanutButterLover ILovePeanutButter
