Every day, I see new threads asking the same questions over and over. I just got out of home after two days of absence and again, there were threads asking whether GUIs would be a part of sponge, whether vanilla clients could join Sponge servers. These questions have been answered before. I’d like to know why new people seem to be unable to do some basic research. I know, threads vanish after time, but there is a working search box. And there are tons of stickied threads trying to help through Sponge’s masses of content.
Please newbies, use the search function.

Why, instead of making this thread, not explain it in more detail? Or atleast give them some links. Also some people find it offensive to be referred to ‘Newbies’, I understand you are not trying to offend anyone but use that word with more caution please.

I don’t see a reason for providing links. Many of our faq/guideline/whatsoever threads are stickied… so there is no need for a link.
Don’t forget: right next to the “Forum” button is an “About” button. If people would just click the about button that contains the project info, maybe they wouldn’t be so confused…

If the newly arrived will not read the pinned topics, what makes you think they will read this???
They might read this thread because of it’s title.
