There are rcovery tools. But I doubt that they work on a mac… way too restrictive.

No backups? You’ve got yourself to blame for that one then.

For next time I’d recommend a program Apple has that is actually quite good, its called Time Machine. Its a backup program that is quite excellent, which allows you to restore certain folders or the whole OS.
See windows system restore wss suppose to do this…
i got a backup in a .minecraft folder
i have two minecraft folder one called minecraft and one called .minecraft
