Game fixes module

In global config there’s an option to enable the Game Fixes module. Default is false.
I can’t find anything that explains what these game fixes are. Are they applicable to any version of Minecraft, etc?
If they fix issues, why isn’t it enabled by default? What issues might it cause if enabled?

as far as I can see it does nothing at all, looks like some leftover config code
