How do you use PEX?

PEX seems to be incredibly complicated… the commands and command order makes zero sense.

BEFORE:

/pex group admin create

NOW:
/pex default user parent add group default

What the heck?

I checked the command list / tutorial, and it also doesn’t make any sense. Can anyone explain how you do the following:

  1. Create a group (ANY GROUP)
  2. Add permissions to a group
  3. Remove permissions from a group
  4. Make one group a parent of another
  5. Setup the rank system so /promote and /demote works

I’ve been playing with PEX for days and can’t figure it out.

Use LuckPerms. It generally makes much more sense than the not very intuitive port of PEX.

Plus, PEX doesn’t really have a developer behind it rn

I also use LuckPerms. I did originally use PEX when I moved from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2 but found that it wasn’t maintained properly. LuckPerms is very active and have a great Discord group if you need some help with that.
