Is there anyone else using Elementary? (Linux) | Rather an OS talk now

Elementary seems worth a try. I have one slower laptop which might get a boost. I’d probably install another interface though. It’s not that I don’t like it, I just prefer Cinnamon, Gnome or Unity.

My main laptop runs Fedora 19 and Mint 17. I primarily use Fedora 19 (Cinnamon) on that machine.

When I’m primarily playing MC, I run Ubuntu on my desktop. My MC and backup server run Debian.

I definitely is worth it, it’s incredible fast, even in a low resource vm (in VMware Workstation) it’s running smooth.

There are many things which have to be ported to the new version and the devs aren’t done yet. I’m loosing foreward to the final releas  then it’ll become my main os for my Laptop which currently runs ubuntu 14.04

I duel boot Lubuntu and Windows 7; I would like to just use Lubuntu but certain games, I’m looking at you L.o.L., don’t have a linux version and don’t play nicely on wine.

What about Play on Linux?

PlayOnLinux is based on Wine, I would have to asume it suffers the same incompatibilities as wine.

If I’m wrong tell me as I would really like it to work.

Take a look there. Official page, with troubleshooting below.

It suffers the same incompatibilities as Wine, but different versions of Wine are compatible with different applications. POL can manage different installs of Wine for each application, and also ships with workarounds for different applications so that they work better.

I use Windows 7. I hope to start using debian so I can start on my debian fork.
