Hey idk if this is the right place to post this but can anyone tell me if there are any 1.9 or 1.8.9 plugins that are made for sponge?
Sponge is not (yet) out for 1.9
If a plugin says it’s for Sponge 4.x.x, then it should work in 1.8.9.
sooo… what is v.8,x,x or v6.x.x?
The sponge api (major version) is currently at 4. You may be seeing plugin versions… Sponge API 4 targets MC 1.8.9, and Sponge API 5 or 6 will target MC 1.9 when they come out.
wait a minute! i didnt realize they were two separate things. you were talking about sponge api, but what about spongeforge? That’s the one i use

Sponge Forge is an implementation of the Sponge API. Plugins only hook into the Sponge API, which is currently at 4.x.x. SpongeForge, on the other hand, has its own build numbers. I know there’s an announcement thread somewhere about versions, but I can’t find it at the moment.
As of right now, the latest sponge forge supports Sponge API 4 and MC 1.8.9
