Mixin is agnostic to Minecraft version.

However, you seem to be asking for help in the wrong place, this forums is for the Sponge server software - which your issue is not with.

Try removing optifine and optifabric, optifine doesn’t like mods. I’ve tried putting it in modpacks and it always breaks them

That sadly doesnt help.

Best of creating your own issue as sponge has a lot of different errors due to Mixin Errors. That being said, 1.16.5 SpongeForge is not stable yet so a lot of mods break it currently.

But would still be good to know what and how

I am getting the same message but I am using curseforge and I have no mods that uses spongeAPI

This a very generic error that can occur within many mods and has nothing to do with SpongeAPI. The faulty mod is using Mixin, a tool hosted by the SpongePowered org. Identify the faulty mod and contact its author.

just in case this helps anyone (even though as previously mentioned it can be a generic error). i had the same response through forge because of FlytreLib. A dependency mod for dual riders. although its most likely because i was making a modpack and the creator did mention its incompatibility with other mods
