I know this is not the most important thing in the world, but later or sooner we’d need something like that, if we want to avoid using the advertisement-overloaded paste services, that do already exist. Iirc Bukkit had a paste service too. Alternatively we could all use GitHubs Gist (which would require a gh-acccount). What do you think about that?
I vote for it.
IIRC there is already free paste service software.
It would be very neat, but not that needed.
I think Github Gists would be a great solution for now.
I’d recommend Zerobin (PHP) or 0bin (Python) as they both have client-side encryption and would prevent Sponge getting in trouble for someone abusing the pastebin.
Hastebin (Node) is also nice, but lacks the encryption.
Stikked is good for this
I just tested this, and it’s definitely false.
Oh, I didn’t know that… Thanks for pointing that out
As most of the pastebinning would be of stuff that would code I think just gist would probably be the easiest and most useful.
Use gist. Absolutely no need for this.
To be honest, there’s already an service on @md_5’s site that we could probably use if replicated on the sponge domain.
@Bell_Labs That’s hastebin (suggested already).
For a simple paste site I can recommend dpaste, it’s open source, with an official host at dpaste.de
It supports a ton of lexers/styles but also plain text or code. No ads.
That’s just haste-server. Check hastebin for the original. I do like this one though. I have my own instance.
A Paste service for Sponge would be bæ :c
