Knapsacks (backpacks on steroids) - Basically similar to betterbacks with many more features for both server owners and players. I’ve been working on this and the beta is completed, however it’s only compatible with 1.7.8 - 1.7.10. The plugin features similar crafting mechanisms as betterbacks did, but also has a lot of customizing options for the players as well as realistic features. A few examples would be the max. weight a Knapsack can carry, the ability to actually name your Knapsack and keep that name for the life of the Knapsack. The ability for server owners to limit how many Knapsacks of different sizes (currently up to 54 slots), a player can have as well as the total Knapsacks overall a player can have (two different animals there). Additionally, Knapsacks has a stealth / thief feature that allows server owners to define how players can interact with Knapsacks, such as stashing them in chests or dropping them and and another player comes along and wants to open that sack. Whelp he can but based on thief settings, as well as block settings the player defines, the player opening the sack and attempting to steal from it could be jailed and/or penalized. etc. etc. etc…
I will be porting this over to Sponge as soon as the SpongeAPI is released. Meanwhile I will be uploading the release of Knapsacks to the current bukkit community so those who still use bukkit (a lot) can enjoy.
Oh BTW. The list of plugins to port of from bukkit to Sponge is ENORMOUS!!! Wow!!! That’s a lot of time!
Last week we started processing the queue on Bukkit Dev. As of right now the queue is completely caught up and has been for most of a week. We normally process all files within an hour, except during the late night shift at which point it can reach up to 10 hours.
We are committed to maintaining the same level of security the end users are used to.
We have not, nor shall we, compromise the safety standards placed on uploads. We’re actively working on ways to further improve our process to active even high security, and shorten queue times.
However, except in situations where code issues could create accidental malicious activity, we will not be moderating for quality as that is too highly subjective. We fully expect the natural order of popularity to account for that.
Categorization is another subjective moderation point. Only cases of gross incorrect categorization will be addressed by our admin staff.
Finally, please know we will continue to accept projects and plugin uploads for the foreseeable future.
@modwizcode: What license are Creepair, WizardPortals and WMABroadcast under? Does Zones have a Github repo at this time?
@eyesniper2: No problem! Thanks for porting to Sponge
@zrocweb: Does Knapsacks have a BukkitDev or Github repo? If so, could you link me to it so I can add it to the spread?
Creepair, WizardPortals and WMABroadcast are under no peticular license, I wrote the majority of Creepair and all of WizardPortals and WMABroadcast so I am re-licensing them to an open source license once I decide on a license.
Zones was a private BitBucket repo and I will be moving the public rewrite for Sponge to Github once it’s started.
Zone’s will need to be significantly cleaned up, most of the source is embarrassing. As for the others I plan to re-license under Mozilla Public License, version 2.0.
Just as an updated. I’d like to officially announce Battle Arena 2 (formerly BA) and Battle Tracker 2 (formerly BT) are back. A new team of developers have taken over BattlePlugins and have already started developing on these two plugins. We plan on picking up other BattlePlugins in time.
We are currently in the process of deciding which platform we will port over to:
