Remember back in September when the hamburger menu was being wonky? We found out it was fixed when one changed the font size from 20px to 21px. Well, since then the default size of the menu items has been changed from 20px to 24px, which has resulted in the fa-bars top menu item being slightly smaller than the notification and search button. You might want to remove the custom CSS, as fa-bars has no problems with alignment or scaling at 24px
