Sponge overriding chat without any plugin

  • Plugins/Mods: Minecraft, Minecraft Coder Pack, Forge Mod Loader, Minecraft Forge, SpongeAPI, SpongeForge, FTB Utilities, FTBLib, Just Enough Items

I have ranks configured in FTButilites with some permissions for chunk claiming, chat name color, etc… the problem is when I add sponge the chat unformats and removes the colors. I’m not using any other plugin to change chat prefix/sufix, only ftb utilities and spongeforge. I dont want to use any more plugins to add permissions and chat colors/prefix. I only need sponge to add buycraft plugin so people can buy the tiers on our shop. FTBUtilites handle all the permissions needed.

You didn’t read info about installing spongeforge carefoully. 2705-7.1.0-BETA-3361 14.23.4.2750
bolded numbers MUST be same

They don’t, the forge version listed on the SpongeForge version is only the minimum and recommended, not a must. Although new conflicts/ bugs can happen with newer versions of forge (as they like to change stuff all the time), any version above recommended should work absolutely fine. You only get major problems if you use older versions, or Forge has changed something major.

I hope that is a fair assessment, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
