Spongeforge not working with the same version of forge

i have the sponge forge spongeforge-1.12.2-2768-7.1.6-RC3686 and am running the forge version of forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2768-universal. so it should work but for some reason it says that they arent the same and may not work

Thats a normal thing. Just ignore that message.

If its not working then a log would go a long way. Any and all info also goes a long way too

but my other mods that need the spongeforge to work wont work

So when spongeforge “doesnt work” its typically an error where SpongeForge attempts to interact with another mod and fails.

A log of your server will tell me what is going wrong so i can tell you how to fix it
