There should be a way to close your own topics or posts

i think it would be a good idea if there was an option to close your topics or posts so that no one else can reply

Why should there be a feature to discourage discussion? :frowning:
I’d rather only mods have the ability to stop a discussion that’s stepping into rulebreaking territory.

yea but maybe some people don’t want the’re discussion to be talked about anymore

Thankfully, we don’t leave that up to the topic owner. Once you’ve opened Pandora’s Box, there’s no closing it. :smile:

The only real reasons for a topic to be closed are for the moderation team =)

yea but why shoulden’t the topic owner be able to close it?

Can you think of a good example where the owner would want to close a topic where a mod couldn’t just do it instead?
