GriefPrevention Official Thread [1.10/1.11/1.12] TOWN/WECUI Support

Remove all your plugins and mods except sponge/pixelmon/GP/PEX and try again.

little insulting the way your coming off now. i followed everything you said and have a fresh default config but fine I’ll go download them from my ftp and post them for you. may take a min though

Wait why the hell are you typing the command in console? The summon command NEEDS to be typed in game

when did i say i was doing this in console?

That is the only way it wouldn’t work. I just confirmed myself that it works fine so no clue what you are doing.

I setup a FRESH server using the following

  • SpongeForge 1773
  • Forge 2095
  • Pixelmon 1.10.2 beta 9
  • PermissionsEx 1.10.2 (latest)

Logged into server and ran the command
/summon pixelmon.Trader

Everything worked as expected.

only difference from yours is forge version. pixelmon suggest version 2077 so I’m using that. I’ll update the forge version when i have no players on the server. i have to go to work now anyway. I’ll report back with the results but can you also confirm that you can prevent traders from spawning in the wilderness claim?

Pixelmon’s version is the one they ā€œcompiledā€ on. You should always use the latest Forge version.

And yes, I already tested with GP and it prevents spawning wherever I set it including via commands.

Also make sure to test with only GP/PEX, remove all other plugins.

ok

So what do i do it i find a plugin that breaks it after testing with just sponge, gp, and pex

What storage method should luckperms be using for this to work with grief prevention? (my kids are still getting the wilderness administrator permission error whenever they attempt anything… it’s set to use h2… options are # Currently supported: mysql, sqlite, h2, json, yaml, mongodb

Forge 2094
SpongeForge: 1773
Luckperms 2.10.18

If it doesn’t work by default then LuckPerms isn’t handling GP’s default permissions correctly. You will have to use PEX until I can further test it.

K… I did… I switched my server over to pex… Should I delete anything? I created my 2 groups one for builders another for the admin… Assigned the players, deleted the GriefPrevention folders in all the worlds… and loaded her back up… Still getting the same wilderness administrator error… Maybe the configs… I’ll try that…

Make sure you follow directions in topic. PEX must be configured in FILE mode. Database mode does not work properly.

PermissionsEx v2.0-SNAPSHOT-b142 seems to be deefaulting to file mode… it created a json file : permissions.json

The list of backends able to be selected

backends {
default {
prefix=pex
type=sql
url=ā€œjdbc:h2:permissionsā€
}
default-file {
# Place file entries in alphabetical order
alphabetize-entries=false
file=ā€œpermissions.jsonā€
type=file
}
}

Whether to log permissions checks being performed

debug=false
default-backend=default-file

Tags that apply to this server (which match with permissions blocks restricted by server-tag contexts

server-tags=[]
version=0

Worked like a charm. Now for maybe a harder question. Would I be able to set up a claim to allow players to build above a certain Y but not below that Y.

Major facepalm… I’m running my server on a RamDisk… I removed the RedProtect… at least I thought I did. RedProtect was the culprit after the change…

Thank you for your time blood! :slight_smile:

Yes you can create a 3d claim using /cuboid command to switch into 3d mode. Simply make a 3d subdivision starting at the Y you want to allow players to build in. For the parent claim set block-place and whatever other flags to false. You will need to use /inherit command in the subdivision claim to block parent flags from being inherited.

By any chance would you know how to allow players to throw Pixlemon in admin claims?

I can confirm that setting the flag stops this command from summoning a trader, however they still spawn naturally. Newest forge, sponge, pixelmon, gp and pex installed ONLY. Fresh config file. Any other ideas?

meaning with the flag set I can’t summon them but after using ā€œ/pokenpckill traderā€ it kills around 40 or so and a few seconds i start seeing them on other locations on the map again if i fly around some. However the ā€œ/summon pixelmon.Traderā€ command summons nothing
