NightUI - Dark sponge forums theme

Has anyone found any more issues yet?

Suggested topics feels inconsistent with the rest of the theme.

Why is the top blue?

Some colors don’t seem to fit the dark theme:

Hover elements still have the original theme colors. Should change that for consistency:

There are a lot of minor issues that could be tweaked and changed to make a fully immersive dark theme.

Last issue. Text in the edit/preview pane isn’t actually visible.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort to make a dark theme. :smile: I hope it comes together. I would really like to see something nice!

The stylesheet was originally for just me alone, although I decided to share it with the blue still there, and people didn’t seem to mind it, so I left it in. I can change it if you feel there is something better.

Thats odd, it looks fine on my end.

On my end the bar looks different

Which button is that? I can’t seem to find one that looks like that.

The preview pane doesn’t seem to have this issue for me either. Can you tell me what browser you are using?

Google-chrome-stable from AUR. Version=38.0.2125.111

Hm… if your using chrome then I’m not sure what the issue is, did you install the theme using stylebot or did you use a different method?

Chrome stylish plugin.

try using stylebot that might solve it.

A lot of the things you showed @DarkArcana I have never seen with this theme, I would try out style bot.

I have noticed a bug with style bot where as if you open a link in a new to to say NightUI - Dark sponge forums theme - #26 by DarkArcana the css doesn’t always works, My pc also sometimes crashes to keep myself from losing myplace all the time google chrome is set open the tabs I had when I closed it, when I open it up from closeing it the styleing is gone till I visit https://forums.spongepowered.org

The loading spinner is loaded from a remote site over http which is making Chrome complain about insecure content.

I uploaded it to imgur so it can use https: https://i.imgur.com/VanTgAz.gif and all is well now.

Linking to a github commit seems to produce a white background, e.g.:

I might have fixed this without realizing it, although I won’t be making another update for now. :wink:

I just updated the CSS again, not a lot of changes in it that I can remember, aside from fixing the user list name color when viewing badges, and the suggestion box when you mention someones name in a post. :slight_smile:

Three typographical errors are present - “pxpx”, “5 px”, and , where . should be.
Easy enough for even a Luddite like me to fix.

Can you post the fix or point me to where the typo’s are so I can add it to version 5 whenever I get around to it? :slight_smile:

Just pasting the latest css into Stylish, with no extra headers, preview gives me this (line number references):

70:0 Selector expected
502:25 Error in parsing value for ‘border-bottom-width’
856:19 Error in parsing value for ‘margin-bottom’

Thanks! The issues are fixed for the next version. :slight_smile:

It looks good! But not enought SPONGE color!

There’s only a few spots where I incorporated blue into the design. That was to counteract the amount of yellow used. Yes it doesn’t look very spongy but I think having a secondary color to break up the yellow here and there isn’t that bad looking.

Noticed the loading gif isn’t transparent in the background, and looks funky with the white square behind it… Is that a possible fix?

also,

,i.fa.fa-comment {
    color: #F7C41D;
}

is that first comma supposed to be a period?
