I’m adding a list of mods that I use that I don’t see on the Google Doc. After looking through some of these I had not realized how old some are but I guess its a plus they held together over so many updates. I expect there are other mods that will do what these do but on the off-chance that there isn’t these are what would be great to see at some point if someone picks these up. I frequently grabbed these odd mods as they were very lightweight or had specific utility.
The critical mods are SimpleChestLock, LightLevel, bspace and SkylandsPlus I use far more mods but its great to see so many already on the big list. I had planned to include links to each mod for ease of access but as I am a new user I can’t include that many links so I will add links for the hard to find ones.
Seems like SimpleChestLocks will be replaced by KonseptLocks, according to that forum post:
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This plugin is no longer being developed.
I know I’ve said that there will be no replacement for this before the Official Plugin API, but thanks to some very generous donations I’ve been inspired to make a Bukkit-based replacement.
It’s called KonseptLocks and will hopefully be hosted on dev.bukkit.org as soon as I can get it properly tested.
While it will be similar to SCL in many ways, it will not feature the “combination lock” system, as feedback tells me it’s hardly ever in use.
It will not be compatible with SCL and will have a completely new locking file system, which will hopefully remedy any and all “oops, all your locks are gone” problems. If you have 3600 locks you fear you will have to re-lock, don’t worry; I’ll make an SCL importer for KonseptLocks.
I’d searched for KonseptLocks but had been unable to find it. I am not sure if he ever even uploaded it which is why I had posted the SimpleChestLocks as it is something we can find still. Thanks for adding the rest to the list.
Depending on the future and what exactly happens with the SpongeAPI as far as permissions api goes, I will most likely be necromancing Permissions in some way. Either as it was originally an API & Provider, or simply as a Provider. (And yes, Permissions is still my project to necro if I feel like.)
To be honest. I really feel that most plugins might move. Bukkit devs, spigot devs, Forge team, FTB team, and having sponsors and all that before even having a working version? That will take the Minecraft community by storm. But again. It’s up the the plugin devs that have posted to BukkitDev ETC.
Before you port these two plugins you should tell the developer to update the first one as he thinks it works perfectly on 1.7 but it is in fact quite glitchy, and I don’t even know if the second one works on 1.7:
superwheat, yes! I removed it from my server while hunting a bug, forgot to replace it. Later, I walked across my autofarm switchplate without thinking and had to replant eveything by hand. -_-
There’s a lot of plugins my server… more or less depends on that I’d love to see ported: •PorteCoulissante
•Itemizer
•Cannons
•MagicSpells
•Parachute
•PrivateWarp
•SWatchDog
Portcullis’, Itemizer, Cannons, and magic are the most important to me, but if these can be ported successfully I’d love this project forever! These are all from Bukkit. Forum regulation won’t let me post links. :c
