Unofficial Teamspeak Server

Hello everyone.

I have an official unofficial Teamspeak server for Sponge / Minecraft altogether.

The IP is: talk.jdersen.com (192.95.48.87) [:9987], port not required.
(Thanks @zaza7)

  • 512 slots
  • All voice data encrypted
  • Text chat encrypted using AES.
  • Server management and file transfer utilities disabled

All Sponge staff can claim a rank on this server. Let me know who you are, and I will verify your identity.

Okay, that’s all for now.
Thanks,
Jake

Good idea, I’ll use it. Is your server DDOS protected? (idk if it’s necessary, Minecraft related sites/projects often attract DDOS attacks).

Yup, standard OVH protection anyway.

I’m willing to participate with my vocals.

Okay, I’ll set it up. Give me a few.

@Aron @erotic

Might think about stopping by once in a while. Would be a nice change to IRC once in a while.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I want to hear you frisky fellas.

Setting up its database and doing some security stuff right now, then I’ll put the IP in the topic post.

My servers teamspeak could be used if needed. mcdreamz.com <-- put that in your teamspeak client. (Yes it’s ddos protected)

The IP for @jdersen 's server is 192.99.169.167.

This is correct. Thank you for helping me out

I have a good shell for DDoS protection if you’re running Linux, you dont have to do anything but chmod it. I can send it to you if you want.

No thanks. Not unless I can review its code

Check here. I’ve used it for a lot of things and I’ve tested it myself by synflood and other attacks. It holds up enough for a shell, it can help negate it and then whatever else it cant take on it can pass onto the OVH protection you already have.

Note: I just applied for a Teamspeak NPL which will push the user capacity to 500 concurrent.

octoshrimpy is playing the piano in the “Off-topic Discussion” channel. Come join and listen. He’s very good.

Cheers!

I really like this, maybe the Sponge staff could set-up something more official later down the road.

Indeed. I can host it for now, but I do have bandwidth limits

I think you may reach that limit.

Cheers!

What’s your bandwith limit? I pay $5/m for 1TB of Bandwith, 768 MB of RAM, and 1 Core of CPU, but you might need more RAM(maybe) so you could up it to the $7/m packagewith 1 CPU, 1024MB RAM, 20GB of storage, and 2TB bandwith(which I used for a game server).

If you’re interested shoot me a PM, I’ll give you a link.
