No problem xD do /pex reload after your changes to make sure it all works and saves good
Roger that!! Thanks again
I was wondering if there was a command for looking up player info that lists out the group the player is in the ladder the group is a part of and prefixes suffixes or any other pertinent information? If not could you add a command that uses this?
The PEX command â/pex user MoeBoy76 infoâ will (once you click the link in chat) display everything directly on that player (can use group for a group) but it wonât display anything that is inherited, that would likely fill chat on servers with many permissions and zml probably wonât do it
iâll add the example to OP when i am back at my PC
Thanks for your prompt reply and thanks again for this guide it has been extremely helpful since I am used to essentials groupmanager for this part. btw is there an advanced guide to setting up ladders and such?
I pretty much have a two tier system on player ranks. one for staff and one for player ranks. I am still learning the plugin and thanks for the port over to sponge it was needed quite quickly so those of us can get back to managing our servers
I am also having issues setting rank and creating ladders I am not sure if this is supported cause I am kind jumping between the github wiki and this page and there isnât much more to go on.
I use the following command to add the rank and my hopes were to create a named ladder for my staff members
/pex group Admin rank 1 Staff
I hope someone can assist with this soon
Also was wondering if there is any way to edit the rank and ladder stuff after the group has been created cause the wiki says its done during group creation
I figured this one out lol the answer was in plain sight
Note that the wiki is for pex 1.0 mostly. There are only a few pages which apply to pex 2.0
Also you can add groups to a ladder afterwards, i usually just edit the json file though⌠However this is completely unsupported
I was wondering if anyone had the nodes for PEX listed out somewhere. I want to have mid-level staff ranks that can promote below them, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what any of the nodes are. As it stands at the moment only my âopâ rank and console can do any rank management.
How dafuq i op myself lol http://prntscr.com/a5atke
You donât use /op, simple as that. have a look at the first post on how to grant yourself all rights.
Except that you canât edit the spawn-protection area without it
@McGangsterFresh â/minecraft:opâ will work but as stated above, it gives you 0 permissions
Thought I would post this here for help:
I am seeing this in-console:
22.02 15:04:06 [Server] PermissionsEx Potential circular inheritance found while traversing inheritance for user=d2f27aea-9177-47f0-8140-0857f3b0eaa7 when visiting group=default
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks
that means that a player inherits default from multiple groups or that a permission is already given in another group before getting to default
This usually happens when you assign every player (aka default) to a group and then create a second group which inherits from the first group.
example:
- you assign every user to the group
default - you create a group
guestwhich inherits fromdefault
step 2 isnât necessary as every user already has all perms of group default.
Just remove the inheritance between default and guest and youâre done
ok followingâŚ
Iâm running a pixelmon server, made a startertown with a pokemon center and equipment.
I protected this town making a region âstartertownâ with the handler âvillageâ.
Handler âvillageâ has the default permission âBlocks: Falseâ
People shouldnât be allowed to break/spawn blocks, but use the equipment like the PC or trader.
Thing is, they canât use that as it wouldnât allow them. Thats not what I want.
So do I have to add a default permission with Use: True Iâm guessing?
how would I be able to add it afterwards?
sorry wrong thread
Have anyone know how to give wondertrade permission
/wt: wondertrade.command.wondertrade havenât any helpâŚ
You would do /pex group [groupname] perm wondertrade.command.wondertrade true
