What programming languages do you know?

In order of my learning them:

  • C/CPP
  • C#
  • Objective C
  • Basic/Visual Basic/VBScript
  • Java
  • Lua
  • HTML
  • PhP

Learning:

  • any architecture of Assembly (Ideally X86 and X64; but the later would be preferable)

Well, I’ve been a web developer for a long time so, here are the programming languages I know:

  1. PHP
  2. HTML
  3. CSS
  4. JavaScript
  5. SQL

I also know other languages, but I can’t say that I know them very well:

  1. Visual C++
  2. Visual C#
  3. Java
  4. Rails (Learning it right now)

I am kind of embarrassed about this since I don’t know many :stuck_out_tongue: And the ones I know are all web based except Batch.

  • CSS
  • SQL
  • PHP
  • HTML
  • Batch
  • JavaScript

i have an intention to make a career.

Python I started learning in school, and thought it would be a waste of time, but it is a great language! It can connect to things very easily, and it has loads of options with Strings and Lists. I’m currently making a programming language from it.

C# is used for a lot of cross-platform stuff, like mobile apps and games. It was mainly used for Windows, but has become very widespread. If you have a Mac, learn Swift, it is a lot of fun.

Well I know
Html
php
bbcode

What I want to know
sql
java & javascript
python
lua

I know
HTML
BASIC
and a bit of CSS

Java, C#, C++, C, Lua, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Batch, Bash, Visual Basic, ActionScript, GLSL, Ruby, UnrealScript, VBScript

Java, Bash, PowerShell…

PHP
MySQL
PostGreSQL
dBase III
COBOL
FORTRAN
BASIC (all variants)
C/C#/C++
Assembler
Pascal
HTML
Javascript/jQuery
Java
Python
Ruby
Batch (really…it’s just a collection of issued command lines with some logic)
Punch-Card*

I’m sure there’s stuff I forgot. Oh, and you may have to look up that last one…that’s as archaic as it comes.

But here’s a punch card for programming example:

Image of punchcard in IBM029

Java, Html, YML, .Conf

Hmm, let met think…

  • C
  • C++
  • C#
  • Objective-C
  • Java
  • Python / PyPy / Stackless Python (They’re basically the same)
  • Javascript (including Node.js)
  • R (don’t really know why)
  • Ruby
  • Rust (never used it though)
  • Go (recommended for concurrect applications)

On top of that, some data storage languages, like SQL.

I’m really only comfortable using Java, PHP, JSP, and JS. But if we’re going to be listing all of them, I also know a bit of:

  • Bash
  • Batch
  • Lua (never written a practical program)
  • Python (although I only use it in physics class)
  • C++ (very limited)
  • C# (never written a practical program)
  • GLSL
  • TI-BASIC (if that even counts)

Plus HTML, CSS, and SQL, if they count for anything.

You win life, my friend.

Man I love TI-BASIC, the only reason people like math class.

In order of experience…
Java
JavaScript
HTML
PHP
SQL
Mongo(if this counts…?)
CSS
Batch
Python
really wanna learn ruby/ruby on rails…

MongoDB doesn’t count I believe. Neither does SQL.

Learn ROR! It’s amazing!

Nor do html or css (they are markup languages)
