I run a small server called “NOIDCRAFT! - Vanilla Chocolate Minecraft”.
It’s mostly vanilla with a few additions like gringotts and essentials and only for whitelisted players.
We wanted to enjoy the multiplayer survival aspect of the game but most servers either altered the mechanics too much, were pay2win, or had a lot of griefing.
We’re the minecraft equivalent of a hippie commune

Probably i have the smallest server here… but i proud of idea that i’m trying to implement. Server is called Cadabra. There are no commands, they are replaced by… spells, that take xp and hunger. Any player can read some books, learn some magic words and combine them to create his own spell! For example “am visio monstra kripera elektrum” will create a creeper on the block you looking at, and strike lightning in the same place". Yes, silly example, but there are already more than 70 magic words (and its event without monster and block names). Soon players will be able to use books for their “magic scripts” and launch them with one click from inventory =) Really, not many players want to read books in a game… so online is always low.
Server is Russian, but i hope to translate all books someday =)

We are a 2 year server(if you count the first attempt) that started out as a Factions “Summer” server. Soon we wanted to expand so we made it public, and here we are now. Our server is “era” based meaning that everytime a major change happens to a server(Redesign, After Major Grief), the server Gains a new name. We Currently changed from mysticcraft SKY to mysticcraft Shimmer.

I’ve been running a creative craftbukkit server for a little over two years now. We started back in May 2012 as a whitelisted server. Now we’re a completely open server that’s open to anyone just as long as their mcbans rep is 8 or above. We’ve set up a system that prevents new players and potential griefers from accessing our other worlds made for those who are dedicated and who’ve earned their ranks up. We’re running on 1.7.9 now. The Defenestration Minecraft Server has been public on the same map since 2010. (And was a private whitelisted server prior to that.)
We’re a small, largely on-hiatus server dedicated to casual and intermittent players, who’ve been quietly building over several years. In some cases, this means awe-inspiring single-builder cities, in others, it means meticulously fine-tuned surface terrain and gigantic underground warrens of tunnel mazes. We feature one of the most sophisticated minecart station systems around. Dedicated administration means we have a revision history for the entire map for the entire four years of operation; take a six month break and your project will be just as you left it when you pick the game back up.
We’re not really looking for more players until the 1.8 server situation is resolved, but tourists are welcome. Spelling, grammar and maturity matter in player applications. In general, it’s an adults-only environment, mostly because it’s hard for kids to relate to all the old people who play (occasionally).
I’m an admin on a danish Minecraft server named Micsi’s Minecraft Server (www.micsis.enjin.com - not a particularly interesting website though). We’ve run since late 2010 (when multiplayer was relatively new), and we’ve had 30000+ unique players online since then. 30 slots, main language is danish. We have a few american players.

Well, i started on this server in 2010, it has been running since that day but it had a break some months ago but its back on track ready to let more players join and have some fun. You can exspect “Creative” “Survival” “Custom Minigame” “Skyblock”. When you join you can get member by answering some stuff, it has 30 slots so we have space for you!. We are running 1.7 and are waiting for 1.8 so its always up to date!

Not really having an active administration policy cuz we do moderate and require players to behave themselves, at lease that’s what we keeps the server low-profiled and not-that-popular 
away from public, especially the griefers(alots of’em in HK).

I have a 30 Slot Minecraft bedrock faction server. It has custom commands,custom shops,custom mobs, and much more. I have edited my worlds code to generate extreme amplified terrain and it looks incredible especially with the faithful texture pack.
